Chef in Lakeland, Florida

Old school chef with over 30 years working in the hospitality industry, with most of that in the catering and banquet business. I started as a dish washer at age 15, then while running & owning a Newsstand I attended The Philadelphia Restaurant School, graduating in 1985. I worked in mostly high end restaurants after school to learn from the best chefs of that area at that time. I was learning about healthy cooking in the 1980’s at a restaurant called Homegrown which was way ahead of its time. Since then I worked in a Pancake House, (Uncle Bills at the Jersey shore), leased a restaurant and banquet facilities at a golf club, ran the kitchen of a local tavern in the Philly suburbs, and since 2003 have worked in the catering industry for some of the top caterers in the Philadelphia area. I also had a personal chef service and owned a store called Kitcheniques which specialized in selling unique and collectible kitchen wares and décor. I recently moved to Lakeland Florida to help my elderly parents, one of which in a quadriplegic. I am starting a personal chef and catering business called kitcheniques in the Lakeland/Tampa Fl. Area. I plan to specialize in small and personal events, with price in mind, I want my clients to feel that their affair or event was done with a personal touch from the chef and not just another sale by some large catering company.
