Chef Job in Pulaski, New York

Full service restaurant in the heart of Pulaski, NY looking for a kitchen manager/head chef. The kitchen manager/head chef is directly responsible for all kitchen functions including food purchasing, preparation and maintenance of quality standards; sanitation and cleanliness; training of employees in methods of cooking, preparation, plate presentation, portion and cost control. Responsibilities include: - consistency with food preparation, cooking and serving - preparation of all required reports and schedules - ensure that all equipment is clean and in excellent condition - work with restaurant managers - ensure that all products are ordered accordingly - control food costs and usage - oversee and ensure restaurant policies - check and maintain proper food holding and refrigeration This position requires a minimum of 5 years experience. Education in the field preferred but not required. Catering experience preferred but not required.
