Chef Job in Newport, Oregon

Looking for hard working individuals with a passion for the culinary arts. We are an established restaurant with a new beginning serving a very unique cuisine in beautiful Newport. Experience is recommended, but not necessary, as our lead team of classically trained chefs is willing to train. 18 and over only. Please have Oregon food handlers card or be able to acquire one within 2 weeks. OLCC card a plus. This job is for a full time or part time line cook position but includes prep work and other duties. We will require some amount of heavy lifting and ability to properly store product. Ideal candidate is able to work anytime, any day, has knowledge of food prep and kitchen equipment, can work in a fast paced high volume restaurant, follows commands exactly and promptly, can follow recipes and is consistent with plate presentation, willingness to learn, excellent knife skills, knowledge of culinary techniques, good hygiene, knowledge of OSHA and Health Dept. regulations, and is comfortable working under a young but highly experienced chef. Pay is competitive but dependent on experience.
