Business address: 454065 B, Hwy 22 & 13 Alder Flats, AB, T0C 0A0 Type of Employment: Permanent- Full Time Estimated Start Date: As soon as possible   Job Duties: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods Prepare and cook special meals as instructed by chef Plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies Inspect kitchens and food service areas Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food Order supplies and equipment Supervise kitchen staff and helpers Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment Clean kitchen and work areas Organize and manage buffets and banquets Manage kitchen operations Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances Requirements: Education: Completion of high school is required Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience as a cook is required. In the event that the candidate does not have 3 years of experience a then a post-secondary certificate is required Salary: $16.00 to $18.00 hourly, 30-44 hours per week. A minimum of 30 hours per week is guaranteed during the summer time Important Information: Flexibility is required Shifts: 7 AM to 2 PM and 2 PM to 8 PM (Monday to Thursday) and 2 PM to 9 PM (Friday to Sunday). Weekend shifts are involved. Overtime may be required. Benefits: Discounts on meals and products. There is no public transportation available as we are in a rural area.
