Chef in Blackstone, Massachusetts

I am a lifelong cook, but recently began to cook professionally. Food has always been an important part of my life. All my fondest memories have food at their center, whether it be family parties, or good times with friends. I have seen the power of good food, both for health as well as general happiness. If i had to describe my style of cooking, I would use words like "Modern American, Contemporary, Classical with a twist. I grew up in the Boston area. I am a first generation Capeverdean, and my food has also been influenced by Capeverdean and Portuguese cuisine. I was a contestant on the most recent season of MasterChef U.S. with Gordon Ramsey. I finished at number 8 in the competition out of 40 finalists and almost 40k applicants. I speak Portuguese, Spanish, and Capeverdean.
