I have a passion for cooking. I have been an Executive Chef for the last ten years, mostly in hotels. I received my Culinary education from Charleston SC where I attended Johnson and Wales University. I spent most of my professional career in Charleston learning its rich Culinary culture and Lowcountry cuisine. If I had to pick a specialty it would be Southern cuisine with a focus on fresh seafood. However over the years I have created over 200 menus covering many cuisines. I am skilled in Charcuterie/smoking, cheese-making and fermentation.
I also have a passion for eating healthy. In 2012 I received my Associates in Nutrition from Alabama University online. While working as an Executive Chef I realized that most restaurant food can be extremely unhealthy and I wanted to bridge the gap between fine dining and healthy eating. I feel very comfortable cooking with many lifestyle choices including paleo and gluten free options. I have a 1yr old daughter now and the life of an Executive Chef can be very demanding. I am currently doing consulting work and just opened a restaurant in Nashville. I am looking for an opportunity to cook and share my abilities with a client who might need anything from an intimate dinner experience to a weekly meal program.
