I have been a dedicated vegan for twelve years, and I have experience in culinary instruction, professional kitchen prep, and vegan menu designing & cooking instruction. Within my first three months of working for The Chopping Block, I had already been asked to design two vegan classes. Once those two classes sold out quickly, I was put in charge of our company’s entire vegan curriculum, including classes, and recipe design for private events. Some of my vegan classes have included Brunch, Italian, Homemade Pasta & Gnocchi, Desserts, Cajun, and Outdoor Barbecuing. Through creative recipe testing and development at The Chopping Block with very talented savory and pastry chefs, I have acquired a knowledge of food science, which has allowed me to develop vegan recipes that are delicious, and often designed to mimic classic non-vegan dishes. I have prided myself on showing that healthy plant based cuisine can be delicious, satisfying, and accessible.
