Chef Job in Trinidad, Colorado

The perfect person for this position will be someone who is young, creative and ready for a challenge. We are looking to develop a gastropub (no firm food theme) in a mixed-use, historical building that must be seen to be believed (we will share a video and info once we've touched base!). This underutilized space is ready for a new purpose. The chef we are looking to hire would: - Relocate to the up and coming City of Trinidad, CO. The State recently announced the opening of the newest (and one of the biggest) state parks in Trinidad. The town is an outdoor enthusiasts' mecca. - Understand this is a small-town startup with big city dreams that will require constant attention while we work as a collaborative team to grow the business and plan exemplary events. - Be creative! We are looking for something modern and different - something that cannot be recreated elsewhere. The historic building will make the experience unique, we need a creative chef to help run the show. - The business model will include catering. The kitchen is big, and we need to find a way to make the building profitable. There is no event catering or bar services offered in Trinidad. The more growth the City needs, the demand for these services increases. - In addition to Outdoor Recreation, Trinidad is the newest community to build an artist housing community, Space to Create. The new complex is at the doorstep of this development opportunity. We want to do art events, wine tasting and help to incubate small businesses in this project. Worried about small town living?
