IMMEDIATE OPENING OPENING FOR EXPERIENCED CHEF/COOK for International Piano Camp in Old Bennington, VT Summer Sonatina is an overnight piano camp for children ages 7 – 16. Campers are all levels of musical ability and come from all over the world. They are housed in a charming historic mansion chock full of 30 pianos in Old Bennington, VT. All the camps have a wonderful, joyful atmosphere with great camaraderie between guests and staff. Job description: The chef cooks and serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily, maintaining a standard of culinary excellence. Dates: June 26 – July 23 (up to 40 children ages 7-16, and 10 faculty/staff) (one day off per week) Possibly but not required: Labor day weekend and September 8– 11 (up to 16 adult guests and 8 faculty/staff) Additional responsibilities: Menu planning staying within budget, food ordering putting stock away, ability to cater to dietary needs (meat/fish, vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, food allergies), food shopping/ordering occasional dish duty Must be highly organized, tidy, and reliable. The kitchen has commercial equipment with a country-style feel. Food is served family-style. The successful applicant must have a friendly nature and enjoy being in service mode. The applicant must be willing and able to work long days, 5.5 days a week, for 4 consecutive weeks. Relocation to the area full-time is not required as there is the option to stay in our off-site housing during camps only. All meals, internet, utilities, and laundry facilities are available.
