MEAL PREP SERVICES IN LOS ANGELES - HOW IT WORKS Rate: $60/hour * Getting Started: After a preliminary phone consultation, you will complete an online form to iron out your dietary restrictions/preferences. * Meal Planning: Chef Emmalee will email a customized menu proposal at least three days before your scheduled service. * Shopping Once you make your selections from the proposal, Emmalee will send a detailed shopping list. While Emmalee recommends the client does their own grocery shopping, she is also available for grocery shopping services (charged at the same hourly rate as meal prep services). * Cooking: Emmalee will prepare meals in your home kitchen (roughly four hours per service), then clean up, package, label, and place the meals in your fridge for you to easily reheat and enjoy throughout the week. ABOUT EMMALEE: Chef Emmalee started cooking as soon as she could reach the stove. The Los Angeles native spent her childhood learning the basics of cooking from her father (a seasoned hotel restaurant chef), obsessively watching cooking shows, and even hosting cooking competitions in her home kitchen with elementary school friends. In 2014, at twelve years old, she was cast on Lifetime’s "Man Vs. Child: Chef Showdown", a cut-throat cooking competition series that pitted child prodigy cooks against executive chefs. Emmalee starred on the show for both seasons, and at fourteen embarked on a string of prestigious culinary stages and internships, working with formidable chefs such as Ludo Lefebvre, Mike Isabella, Jamie Lauren, and Joel Miller. Chef Emmalee specializes in Californian cuisine, plant-based/vegan cooking, and pastry. She takes pride in her passion for utilizing high-quality ingredients and practicing sustainability. Emmalee enjoys cooking for clients on a more personal level as an in-home private chef and lets her skills and talent speak for themself through her cooking.
