Join our team at The NOCCA Institute (the non-profit partner of the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts) as we open our new restaurant! Location: Press Street Station (5 Press Street @ Royal in the Faubourg Marigny) Concept: Upscale casual counter service Salary range: Hourly Employment type: Full-time and part-time To apply: Email resume to Chef Jonathan Schmidt at ...@....com REQUIREMENTS Culinary diploma or at least three years of professional cooking experience PRIMARY DUTIES 1. Prep and maintain line before and during service 2. Exhibit strong cooking and knife skills 3. Keep kitchen and other areas neat and sanitary before, during, and after service. 4. Maintain high safety standards 5. Assist Chef in planning and executing daily specials 6. Required to attend all in-service training sessions. Unless otherwise noted, all scheduled meetings are mandatory. 7. Personal Hygiene: You must work to meet high standards of cleanliness and neatness. 8. Attendance: You must report to work on time and work your scheduled hours. You must call in at least two hours prior to your scheduled shift to be excused. Failure to report to work or call in will result in dismissal. 9. Maintain a professional attitude 10. Assist in setting up and breaking down for special events. 11. Perform other duties as assigned.
