Chef Job in Glen Ellen, California

We are looking for a talented chef/cook to join the Olea Hotel (Glen Ellen) family. Your job will be to provide a gourmet breakfast to our guests 2-3 days per week. You will get to cook in our spacious, well-equipped open kitchen, with seasonal and fresh ingredients. If you have a passion for food and love the morning hours, this position is for you! We are ranked as one of the top Sonoma County hotels and best known for our gourmet breakfast, outstanding customer service and enchanting surroundings. https://....com/ A Day in the Life of the Assistant Chef/Cook at Olea Hotel: Your day begins in the kitchen at 6:00 am, getting your mise en place ready for breakfast service. You will have the opportunity to chat with hotel guests as you cook and serve them breakfast. Your day ends after prepping for the next day's breakfast and leaving the kitchen clean and tidy. Your ability to work quickly and efficiently, attention to detail, and a good attitude will lead to your success in this job. What you need to be qualified for this job: - Ability to work 8 hours per day - Excellent egg-cookery and baking skills - Two years or more of experience cooking in a professional kitchen - A positive team-player attitude - A willingness to strive for excellence - Ability to stand/walk for long durations - Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Work Schedule: The position is 2-3 days per week, with additional days as needed with advance notice. Most shifts are from 6:00 am to 2:00 pm. The hotel is open 7 days per week.
