For 45 years, the Golden Bakery & Deli has been serving locals and tourists in the small downtown of Golden, B.C. We offer a wide variety of bread and buns, cookies and pastries and gluten free products such as bread and macaroon cookies. Location: 415 9th Ave N, Golden, BC, V0A 1H0 Work location:Same as above Type of Employment: Full time–Permanent Estimated Start Date: As soon as possible   Job description:  Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies and cakes, according to recipes or special customer orders  Prepare mixes for pies, squares, cookies, loaves, buns and other sweet goods  Attend ovens to bake prepared mixes  Bake mixed dough and batters  Prepare special orders  Ensure that the quality of products meets the established standards  Operate machinery and specialized equipment related to bakery such as bread mixers, oven, divider-round, sheet roller and others.  Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies  Organize and maintain inventory Cuisine specialties: Gluten free, breads and rolls, desserts and pastries. Requirements: -Education: Completion of high school is required -Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience as a baker is required. In the event that the candidate does not have 3 years of experience then a post-secondary certificate is required. Salary: $16.00 to 18.00 hourly, 40 hours weekly Work conditions and physical capabilities: -Fast-paced environment -Work under pressure - Physically demanding - Handling heavy loads -Requires long period of standing Benefits: Uniforms and staff discounts on lunches and bakery products are provided. Transportation costs covered if worker needs to relocate. Other information: - The position requires work in the early mornings, the worker will work 5 days a week, 8 hours a day.
