Off-season work will be performed in our Langley office: 508-8840...th St, Langley, BC V1M 2Y2 Type of employment: Full time – Permanent Estimated Start Date: As soon as possible Job description: • Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations • Book and organize locations for the next season • Determine and implement protective measures against COVID-19. • Determine type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures • Monitor revenues and modify procedures and prices • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed • Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies • Negotiate with clients for use of facilities • Develop, implement and analyze budgets • Participate in marketing plans and implementation • Set staff work schedules and monitor staff performance • Interview, recruit, train and supervise staff • Address customers' complaints or concerns • Provide customer service • Conduct performance reviews • Organize and maintain inventory • Cost products and services • Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports and related forms Requirements: -Education: Completion of secondary school is required -Experience: At least 3 years of experience in the food service sector are required. If the candidate does not have 3 years of experience, a post-secondary certificate related to hospitality or food and beverage service management or a related discipline is required. -Ability to supervise up to 30 people -Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Repetitive tasks, standing for extended periods -Personal Suitability: Flexibility, Reliability, Organized, Dependability, Effective interpersonal skills Salary: $24.52 to $26.00 hourly. 40 hours per week. Benefits: We provide free uniforms, transportation from location to location during the season, 50% food discount and medical expenses. Bunkhouses/trailers are available for housing at a discounted rate Important information: - The workers are required to travel to different cities in British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan for 7 months (from March to September). Currently, we are providing our food services all through BC. In-office work during the off-season. - Flexibility in schedule is required. Work varies week to week, 5 days a week 8 hours a day, weekends on a rotational basis, 1 to 2 days off provided on a rotational basis. - Worker will start 1-2 hours earlier than regular employees and finish work 1-2 hours earlier than regular employees.
