Aldo’s Italian Kitchen is looking for a Chef who is enthusiastic, energetic and can successfully lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the back of the house. Responsibilities and duties include: Drive can-do culture encouraging safety, team work and imagination in preparing food to delight patrons Follow/develop quality and cost controls Insure employee engagement and performance by training and mentoring Maintain product and inventory Follow up with daily employee tasks and cleaning Play a key role in emergency response with a calm approach and problem solving skills Recruit and schedule back-of-house staff Responsible for managing labor according to business demands, add or subtract labor as needed and based on expected amount of business Maintain a line of open communication with all employees, managers and owner Ensure employee satisfaction, training and team development is maintained daily Work in a cooperative and friendly manner with fellow employees and set a good example Maintain clean, neat work attire and work space Promote the restaurant thru goodwill Participate in managing the duty schedule Continue to learn and grow in your position from increasing efficiency to menu input Other duties as needed Qualifications and Skills Ideal candidate has three years’ experience in chef/cooking management position; Northern Italian cuisine a plus Possess strong commercial acumen, with experience in increasing profitability Excellent leadership skills Some computer skills needed Exceptional communication skills We offer: Benefits Paid Time Off Observed Holidays EOE/AA/Disabled Veterans
