Sous Chef will collaborate closely with the Executive Chef to learn and direct the food preparation of our Filipino food program. You will work together with our team to get food out to customers; managing many orders simultaneously and ensuring all foods leave the kitchen exactly as specified on the order. We are a scratch kitchen and make just about everything by hand. This means that your job will include prep work such as chopping vegetables, trimming meat, making skewers, rolling lumpia, etc. You will assist with inventory and management and ordering of supplies. We are looking for a Sous Chef that offers suggestions and creative ideas to improve upon the kitchen’s performance, and who is willing to proactively solves problems as they arise. Must be able to work confidently in a fast-paced environment. Bonus points for experience working on a line in a commercial kitchen previously but we are willing to teach a responsible and reliable candidate. Physical Requirements -- Ability to work 8-10hr days Consistently lift and move 50 pounds Stand for the duration of the shift Climb up and down stairs and/or a stepladder Use hands, wrists, fingers, and arms for the duration of the shift
