Are you a passionate chef looking for your next opportunity? We are looking for a talented wok cook to join our team in Redwater, Alberta. Job Description Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods in accordance with standards and in a timely manner Inspect kitchens and food service areas Clean kitchen and work areas Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food Communicate between shifts and with supervisors to ensure adequate product levels and consistent food quality Maintain consistency of appearance and quality of all menu items Work with specialized cooking equipment (flattop grill, charbroiler, deep fryer, steamer, cleaver, wok). Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances Wash general service dishes Requirements -Education: Completion of secondary school is required. -Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience is required. If the candidate does not have at least 3 years of experience, a post-secondary certificate is required. We specifically need cooks with Asian cuisine experience. Experience cooking with the wok is required. -Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Standing for extended periods, Fast-paced environment, Repetitive tasks, Attention to detail, Work under pressure. -Personal Suitability: Flexibility, Judgement, Team player, Reliability, Initiative, Client focus, Dependability, Organized, Ability to multitask. -Language: English is required Salary: $18.00 per hour, 36-40 hours per week. Benefits: We also provide uniforms, discount meals when not working, one free shift meal, and shared tip pool. Important information: There are three regular shifts from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, from 11:00 PM to 7:00 PM and from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. The employee will have two days off per week on a rotational basis. Position requires flexibility in scheduling shifts, evenings, holidays, or weekend hours as needed.
