Business location: 15675 Dufferin Street, King City, ON, L7B 1K5 Location of work: Rocky Crest Resort - 20 Barnwood Dr, MacTier, ON P0C 1H0 Type of Employment: Full time – Seasonal – 6 months contract Estimated Start Date: Early May, 2020 This is a seasonal position from May 2020 until October 2020 Job Description: - Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods - Plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies - Inspect kitchens and food service areas - Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food - Order supplies and equipment - Supervise kitchen staff and helpers - Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment - Clean kitchen and work areas - Organize and manage buffets and banquets, - Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances Requirements: -Education: Completion of high school is preferred - Work experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience. If the candidate does not have at least 3 years of experience, a post-secondary certificate is required. - Must be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and standing for extended periods. - Must know that this job position is physically demanding. - Organized, team player, flexibility. Salary: $14.00 to $17.00 hourly, 40 to 44 hours per week. Important information: Position requires flexibility in scheduling; including evening or weekend hours as needed. Kitchen hours fluctuate between 7am and 10pm but workers will be given a schedule in advance. Overtime will be required in occasions. Benefits: Accommodation available at a discounted rate.
