Chef Job in North Salem, New York

The ideal candidate has a culinary certificate or degree, is knowledgeable and experienced with healthy, organic cooking, and is flexible with menu preparation based on direction from the principals. Personal chef must understand the importance of maintaining discretion, discreet and calm demeanor, assertive, takes initiative, positive, proactive, organized and detail oriented, service focused, strong level of respect. Experience in menu planning, food costing, and kitchen management is necessary. The candidate must have a valid driver's license to be able to plan and go to the grocery store, farmer’s market, butcher, etc. Start date is flexible but around mid March. The schedule is weekends only: Friday afternoon-Monday early am. Candidates must be comfortable working around children and willing to collaborate with various domestic employees (e.g., house manager, family assistant, housekeepers, nannies, etc.). Fluency is Spanish preferred.
