Chef Job in Westport, Connecticut

We are a busy family with four boys, ages 4-12, and we are looking for someone to take over cooking. The job would be to: Prepare daily after-school snack, family dinner, and study hall/pre-bedtime snack. Create nice energy in the kitchen and a rapport with the children. Learn what each child likes and doesn’t like and plan accordingly so that everyone feels like their needs are being met. Be very open to feedback from both parents and kids. Be prepared to modify for individual children. Do a feedback meeting each week to meal-plan and discuss how things went the previous week. Be ready to follow recipes provided by client. Be on the lookout for vegetarian/pescatarian family-friendly recipes that the kids might respond to. Be creative about how to present food to make it accessible to the children (deconstructed, always with something on the table that you know they will eat, etc). Set the table. Have dinner ready to serve at 6:30. And leave a clean kitchen. Ideally, provide dinner Sunday through Thursday. But this could be flexible. We are also flexible on hours and compensation and ready to have a conversation! We’d love to make it work with the right person.
