Chef Job in Okotoks, Alberta

We are looking for a chef who has some experience in cooking and serving small groups. This is for a breakfast service for overnight guests, usually served between 9 and 10 a.m. This work is based on sporadic bookings so this is not a full-time position. Currently, I am looking for service for 5 overnight guests on the mornings of April 20th and 21st. We can take care of all the pre-shopping once the chef decides on his or her menu. Expectations for breakfast service are polishing glasses and cutlery, setting tables, cooking, and serving a two-course breakfast, clearing the tables, and cleaning the kitchen area after the service. We can help with menu selections and will provide full orientation. Knowledge of operating an espresso machine is helpful. This can be a fun and interactive position where the chef can use their creativity if desired. A typical breakfast menu might consist of water, juice, coffee, and tea, a first course of rolled oats with brown sugar and heavy cream, or yogurt with muesli and fruit. The main course might consist of hash potatoes, breakfast sausage, bacon, and eggs cooked in a variety of ways (chef's choice). this might be accompanied by a sourdough toast with a side of marmalade or jam.
