Mango Pickle, a Michelin Bib Gourmand contemporary Indian bistro, acknowledged by Chicago Magazine as one of the city's best new restaurants, is looking for a Sous Chef.
Professional integrity, reliability, openness to learn and share, willingness to take charge and do whatever it takes to help the chef-owner continuously improve the quality and efficiency of food service are key success factors in this position.
We have a frequently updated and seasonally-tuned menu, do in-house butchering, make our own spice blends, and have an artisanal bread program. We combine western and eastern cooking techniques wherever necessary. You will be applying your strong foundation in classical western cooking to modern Indian, with the exposure we provide to the use of various spice combinations and Indian cooking techniques.
This is a great next step, if you're an experienced Chef de Partie who thrives in a smaller set up and are eager to take on a bigger challenge and make your mark in a small yet high visibility establishment that is constantly striving to raise the bar in its category.
