Chef Moses “MJ” Sands Jr Chef MJ was born and raised in the small town of Milledgeville, GA and is the oldest of two siblings. He attended the Art Institutes of Atlanta in 2006 – 2... where he received his Associates Degree in Culinary Arts at the age of 21. In 2013 at the age of 25 Chef MJ decided to return to school to pursue his Bachelors of Business Administration Degree from American Intercontinental University. Currently he is thinking of where he would like to attend to receive his Master’s Degree. Chef MJ has been cooking since he was about 9 years old with his grandmother in the kitchen to feed their big family. At an early age Chef MJ realized that he not only had a passion to cook but also for making people happy with his food. His first job was at the age of 17 in a fast food burger establishment. Since the age of 17 he has gotten experience in fast food, commercial kitchens, fine dining, school settings, and hospital kitchens. Chef MJ is a diverse chef whom loves preparing foods from all cultures and art forms. His specialties are Gourmet Classic Southern Comfort Foods, Italian Cuisine, & creating Desserts. In November 2015 Chef MJ decided that it was time to pursue His passion and get into the catering industry. He knows that this was the best decision He made for his career to birth Sparrows: Personal Chef & Catering Services. His motto is that “I’m Your Personal Chef” and he takes these words very seriously as he loves to give every client the time and attention that they deserve!
