I'm an
Individual
Hello, I'm Julia! I'm a homemaker by day and meal prepper by night. I love spending time in the kitchen experimenting, cooking, and baking. I currently follow a gluten-free and healthy diet, so I'd love to help those who are looking to follow a healthier lifestyle. I am a self-taught cook and baker and have taken to it naturally, and I love it every time I do it, even with the mistakes made along the way! I can accommodate gluten-free, vegan, vegetarian, or pescatarian. I am less familiar with keto, paleo, and alkaline diets, but I am willing to follow dietary restrictions as they are provided. I have been introduced to Ayurvedic methods of eating, but am still learning the ropes. I'd love to sit down and figure out a weekly meal plan with my clients before diving into cooking! I often follow recipes from Elyse Kopecky's cookbooks, which I've found to be delicious, extremely nutritious and health-conscious, and easy to prep! If you are looking for a break from cooking, adopting a healthier lifestyle, or just want to try something new, please do not hesitate to reach out! I am more than happy to help navigate a personalized plan for you and your family! Types of cuisine I am familiar with and make at home: -Asian-inspired (I love using fish sauce, tamarind puree, and red curry to make different kinds of noodle recipes!) -Indian-inspired (I use lots of curries and garam masala in my recipes when the mood strikes) -Experimental flavors such as using truffle salt or oil, exotic spices, and healthier options (ex. making teff for breakfast instead of cream of wheat and subbing dates for sugar) -low-carb, gluten-free, vegan/vegetarian/pescatarian -I love using my Slow Cooker and InstantPot for different meat recipes! **Personal note: I have contamination OCD, meaning I am very careful with expiration dates, food smelling off or expired, and washing my hands. It is definitely a blessing in disguise when it comes to working in the kitchen!
