Hi, I’m Jacob! 30 years in the restaurant industry working as a cook, Sous chef, exec chef, general manager, pastry chef, baker, and presently consultant has given me a wide gamut of experience that makes me flexible to any culinary scenario. New to personal chef circuit but the mechanics of executing great meals is all the same: menu, purchase food, cook, present. Cuisines I do regularly at my own home include Mexican/Latin American (I’m of Mexican heritage), Indian, Middle Eastern, French, Italian, Scandinavian (my wife is Swedish), and of course classic American. I also have a sourdough culture that I use to bake bread on a regular basis, which if you’ve never had freshly baked sourdough at home is an entirely new experience. I also have a commercial size offset smoker and wood-fired pizza oven at my house to be able to execute more specialty items like smoked brisket and Neapolitan and Detroit style pizzas. My availability is typically Monday thru Friday with weekend flexibility and I can do the shopping for ingredients and manage your pantry/freezer for days that I’m not there if you so choose. $70/HR is a starting point and can go up or down depending on your needs/requirements.
