Chef Job in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin

The Chef/Cook properly and safely prepares meals for the hospital patients, residents, staff and visitors, paying close attention to proper temperature zones and ensuring the food is presented in an attractive manner; follows the portion-control guidelines set by the manager and head chef, and tracks food usage and forecast amounts of food needed for each meal; assists with maintaining appropriate inventory levels; assists with special functions/catering, as needed, to include set-up, delivery and clean-up. In the absence of the head chef, the Chef/Cook assumes the role of head chef by ensuring all staff duties are completed properly and efficiently, assisting with inventories and catering requests Requirements: Must be 18 years of age or older. No formal education is required. Must be available for flex scheduling 5:30 AM to 7:30 PM Must be willing to work variable hours including weekends and holidays. Must find own coverage or trade for time off conflicting with assigned weekends and holidays. Experience in hospital, institutional or restaurant cooking with at least one (1) year proven experience. Sanitation certification within one (1) year of employment. Chef/Cooks working in a CBRF and/or RCC program(s) are required to complete CBRF first-aid, universal precautions, and dietary courses within ninety (90) days of hire. Valid Wisconsin driver license.
