Growing up in Colorado, Brandon began his culinary career working in the kitchens of the Denver Coliseum during the National Western Stock Show. He continued advancing his various techniques and skills working in at a pizza parlor studying under chef Richard Schmidt until he was presented the opportunity to work training under chef Kevin Malone at the Chi Omega sorority house at Colorado State University. It was thru this apprenticeship that Brandon learned various skills working with various desserts and creating weekly upscale menus for large groups of women. As his English studies came to close at Colorado State Brandon decided a move to the mountains was the next step in order to take time off and live a “ski bum” lifestyle. Instead, he became submerged within the kitchens of Breckenridge, eventually finding his way into Steve Arndt’s kitchen alongside Ben Rector. Here Brandon was put in charge of running the fine dining dinners as well as assisting and occasionally running weddings at two popular on mountain venues alongside Ben. Continuing to push himself and broaden his learning Brandon became a private chef with At Your Breck and Call in order to continue his culinary studies while bringing a fun casual dining experience to families and groups. He seeks to further this experience cooking in the fast paced environment of the Seattle city.
