Hi. My name is Steven Kaplan. I'm a 34 year old vegan chef. I have devoted over.half my life now to the pursuit of delicious, healthy, plant based foods. I began running a free vegan meal, for hungry people in Baltimore when I was 16. This is still going strong 18 years later. As I got older, I wanted to improve the quality of meals for the people I was feeding. I decided to pursue a professional cooking career at the age of 24. In that 10 year period, I have worked at a few vegan places, some unvegan. As a vegan person with very high standards, none of these restaurants were willing to push the envelope, or make food that I would even call a good value. It is my goal to feed people healthy, delicious, plant based foods. I've worked at the restaurants, I've fed the people. I'm much more interested in cooking whole foods, fresh veggies, etc. to processed fake meats (although I will use them a bit, I also have a lot of experience making tempeh, seitan, etc.). I'm also married to a Thai woman. She has been transitioning to veganism. We have been working on veganizing all the Thai foods she loves so much. So I have a lot of experience cooking South East Asian dishes, as well as north American fare. I'm an ambitious, passionate, punctual vegan cook. Put me to the test. You won't be disappointed
