Hi! My name is Megan Hellman and I am a recent graduate of Escoffier School of Culinary Arts. I am currently the Sous Chef at a plant based restaurant in Brooklyn called the Butcher’s Daughter where I manage the kitchen and the team. Along with earning my culinary arts degree I have experience working as a line cook and prep cook in full service restaurants and experience working in various food event/food-related jobs. Prior to begin my culinary career I graduated from Penn State with a Bachelor's degree and had a 5 year career in education. My passion lies within creating beautiful, creative, and nutritious food that feels personal and is directly catered to the desires of my clients. I am excited about hosting events and making food that feels like a celebration and helps to build community, Additionally, I am very passionate about cooking with seasonal, sustainable, farm-to-table ingredients.
