I've been working in Chicago for over 10 years in fine dining and most recently at a neighborhood gastropub. I made Kimchi before it was cool and I'm excited to see more people appreciate spicy, funky cabbage. I recently decided to close my own restaurant, Red Door Kitchen & Bar after nearly 5 years. The experience of being a chef-owner was rewarding and gave me an understanding of the challenges of operations outside of the kitchen. However, the all-consuming lifestyle of being a chef and running a small business put a strain on family and personal commitments so I'm looking for something new. I have a passion for cooking. In each kitchen I built a menu of both approachable and adventurous options prepared from scratch and inspired by my own travels and reading.
