My travels and culinary journeys have led to an appetite for the exotic food, drinks, and ambiance different cultures have to offer. Quite often I catch myself reminiscing about a refreshing sangria I had in Spain, a simple, yet flavorful, salad I had in Greece, or memorable music playing at a restaurant in Rio, and I find myself wishing for it all under one roof, without the travel and hassle.
My youth was spent overseas in restaurants, clubs, and lounges, and my culinary horizons have further expanded in the US, while working at a number of successful restaurants in Houston. Having studied Hotel & Restaurant Management, I applied the knowledge I had accumulated over the years toward operating my family's Eastern European restaurant. Houston's cultural diversity allowed me to sample my way across a broad spectrum of dishes from around the globe, and my exposure to the different flavor profiles of Miami's thriving dining scene further increased my admiration and hunger for cosmopolitan and eclectic cuisine.
Food is the one common denominator of all of us and good food makes for good friends. For the past few years I have been developing the idea of a world fusion salad lounge, a place where a multitude of flavors and cultures intersect, offering an experience for the senses never before found under the same roof. Throw some location-specific drinks and music into the mix, and you get a near-complete simulation of any far-flung locale you wish to visit.
