Dear Sir/Madam I have recently relocated from NYC and I am looking for culinary employment opportunities where I share my passion for food and my dedication to service. My career as a chef/caterer in NY spans 16 years beginning as a baker for a small Italian restaurant in Brooklyn and I've never looked back. Over time I have come to enjoy more intimate home gatherings as a way of connecting the food and who I am cooking for. Now with my new home here in Louisville I can take food I serve a step further by combining with great local farms to provide local and seasonal menus to my clients with ease. While my background in catering began in 2005, my career as a chef began in 2000. I worked my way up from garde manger to chef in fine dining restaurants in Brooklyn and Manhattan. Most recently I partnered with Oxcart Tavern to create, market and manage a much needed catering department. We participated in the “Taste of Greenwich House” 2015 food fair where we had the honor of presenting our food to almost 600 guests along side some of the best restaurants and high end catering companies in NYC. Previously, I worked my way thru every position in catering, from production cook to head party chef to casting director for top NYC catering companies such as Olivier Cheng, Creative Edge Parties and Pinch Food Design respectively. My work with these amazing caterers was diverse and challenging. Cooking one day for two guests in the halls of the New York Public Library in Manhattan, to the Hamptons for an beach dinner for 10 to a sit down dinner for 300 at Gotham Hall. In addition to this experience, I gained considerable management skills and a entrepreneur mentality during my time as a independent marketer with 5linx and a real estate professional with Warren Lewis Sotheby’s.
