Hello, My name is Mario and at age 27, I have decided to take my culinary skills to the next level and pursue work as a private chef here in Chicago. Cooking has been a passion of mine for most of my life, but I have been honing my skills as a home cook for almost a decade. I can make everything from healthy salads and hearty steak and chicken dinners, to juicy burgers and soups and chilis. I can make vegan and vegetarian foods. I can make sauces and purées. I can cook any fish or protein, as well as do so in an accommodating fashion. I am not professional by any means but cook with love, cook with heart, and would love to bring just that to your home kitchen. I have worked in hospitality for over a decade and have experience working as an au paid for a family of 5, where cooking meals daily was a big part of the role. If you are a family or a household in the Chicago area looking for some relief when it comes to daily meals, or dinners, if even just for a few times a week, please feel free to reach out. I am looking to work with one or two family’s/households a week exclusively, to make sure I’m prioritizing their needs, getting familiar with their eating habits, and most importantly, so that over time, we can get to know and appreciate each other as people.
